FELSBERG E ASSOCIADOS provides consulting in the maritime area to international shipping companies (cargo and tourism), particularly watching over (and forming) the legal structure of its agents, subsidiaries and branches.
Assistance is provided in the general consulting area (agency contracts, time charters, joints, tax, etc.), in addition to working closely with the Ministry of Transportation, Merchant Marine Department (DMM), Port Authorities, Brazilian Public Health Agency (ANVISA), Internal Revenue Service, Federal Police and the Maritime Court.
Legal assistance further consists of defending the interests of agencies, bunker suppliers, insurance companies, P&I's and maritime companies before Court and in arbitration proceedings, in all types of claims or legal proceedings involving cargo, freight, passengers and contracts, such as arrest provisional or interim remedies, actions for damages, loss of cargo, collection of credits, etc.
